When politicians get together and create a gambling authority to oversee and track the casinos in Nevada, they inadvertently create one of the largest abuse of power and greed that exists in the world today. Why do I say this? Well, because the Gambling Commission and the politicians who made the commission, did so in order to safeguard the gambling industry from competition. Of course, the end result of this is obvious in the way in which the gaming industry operates.
Maybe in retrospect, city and state leaders would also be better off if they'd kept the Convention Center available and instead put on large events and putting all their hard-earned cash into a gaming facility which pays absolutely no taxes and pays small amounts for the use of the property in the middle of the largest city in the state. The cause of this is simple; there is no money in Macau, because Macau is broke. The people who have the properties surrounding the Convention Center are only interested in using the tax money that comes in, to cover their own executives and rent out their property. This is exactly what is happening in Las Vegas, with the Clark County Recreation and Parks Department.
Now then, I wish to go into detail about the legal aspects of gaming in Las Vegas, which is the first and main article. What I am about to tell you is extremely disturbing and shows the entire lack of ethics of politicians trying to pass laws that serve only the interest of special interests. One example of that is the newly passed Gambling Law, also called House Bill 1080.
먹튀검증 For people who don't understand, House Bill 1080 is a really controversial gaming bill that attempts to impose a ban on online gambling in Nevada.
It is important to note that the House Bill has already been signed into law and is now part of this State's Constitution. So, though it may have first appeared as a gambling proposal, the true intent was to restrict internet gaming at all Las Vegas casinos. Naturally, all casinos in Las Vegas opposed the House Bill and even said so publicly. This was nothing new to me, and it is better to know what all of our elected officials consider your right to gamble.
In reference to that, I wish to take a look at how gaming in Las Vegas really works. When gamblers come to Las Vegas, they need to gamble at one of three casinos in the casino complex. The rest of the casinos are owned by someone else, which makes betting in Las Vegas a very symbiotic relationship for both the casinos and the gamblers. The casinos earn money from gaming addicts, while the gamblers pay taxes, get their resorts and food accommodations, and generally get a great deal for gambling. So long as that is happening, the politicians won't ever have any problem passing ridiculous laws that serve only to benefit the gambling industry and hurt the rest of us.
Now then, why do I say all this? Gambling is legal in most American towns, except for New Orleans. And yet there are many areas where it's illegal to gamble (including parts of Florida, where the law is most likely much less strict). So it stands to reason that the average citizen at an Atlantic City, Las Vegas, or Jacksonville area doesn't have an extremely great deal of exposure to gaming, and therefore has no reason to be worried about it. Whereas the typical citizen of a big northern city such as Toronto or Montreal would.
But that is my point: it is not the laws that regulate gambling which are bad. It is the politicians who pass those laws that are bad. That is my main article, but if you read the whole thing, you will find that I am not nearly as harsh on the gaming community since I was before publishing this article. In fact, I actually support legalized gambling in vegas. And why I support it, I will tell you in a subsequent article.
My primary beef with gambling in general, and Las Vegas in particular, is that it degrades the value of your house and raises your property taxes. It decreases tourism, and it causes problems in other areas of government, such as urban planning. And, perhaps worst of all, it destroys family bonds, which is allegedly one of the purposes of marriage in the beginning anyway. The only way that gambling should be legal in Las Vegas is if you're married to a casino employee and know nothing else about gambling, or if your family owns a home in Las Vegas and you want to gamble with your money there.
